Recent bushfires create a hazy sunset across hills outside Amata aborigine community in outback South Australia. This image made from one of the tracks that radiate out from the village, at the limits of where ‘white fellas’ are allowed to go. Located in part of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara lands, permits are required to enter the area. I felt privileged be able to spend a few days in this community.
Amata is located approximately 115 km due south of Uluru (Ayers Rock) in South Australia, approximately 380 km south west of Alice Springs.
