Artist's Description

An 18th century sailing ship rudder, displayed beside the harbour at Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England.

The plaque states; it is copper sheaved and fitted with a brass pinkle and gudgeon. It was caught in the trawl net of a local fishing vessel.
