Far above a building under construction in the Financial District of San Francisco, California, a construction crane waits for its next task. The crane looks like a lopsided T, its narrow black arm stretching out to the right of the photograph’s frame. A delicate-looking yet deceptively strong array of triangular supports forms the interior of the crane much like the bridge I built out of straws for Physics class in high school. Nothing but turbulent wispy clouds fill the background of the black and white photo.
35 mm, black & white.
