We may not have the Spring that the rest of the world traditionally has, like blossoming flowers and buds on the trees, but if you look carefully, you can see that the weather has been changing. We have had two days straight without snow!
On the edge of the Flathead River the runoff from the mountains has raised the water level to its high mark for the year. The growth of algae in the Spring turns the water this beautiful green color, which will remain through Summer. At the time I took this picture, it was still snowing, but the temperature was above freezing.
This is the view from Jimmy’s new backyard. He’ll be renting a riverside home that has been divided into apartments. The view alone is worth what he will be paying!
