Artist's Description

11/24/11 – SOLD a large canvas print of this!

Shot of the Kootenai River near Libby, Montana (USA). It this looks familiar, it is because many of the scenes from The River Wild were shot here. We watched from the highway as the crew filmed. This scene is just south of Kootenai Falls.

The Kootenai River is a favorite spot for rafters. It originates from the Kootenai Lakes, comes down into Montana from British Columbia, Canada, goes west until it hits the Idaho border, then snakes its way back into Canada. It is best known for the endangered Kootenai River white sturgeon that was place on the Endangered Species list in 1994.
