This bench sits alongside the trail to Avalanche Gorge in Glacier National Park, Montana. It’s a nice break, to sit in the shade among the ancient cedars.
Shaun took us on a photo outing this last Fall, after the tourist season had ended. With over one million visitors to the Park each year, this trail is normally crowded with hikers. Autumn is my favorite season to visit. The summer heat and crowds are both gone.
I uploaded this for the A Favorite Place to Sit challenge, hosted by the “Favourite Places You Take, Make or Paint” group.
