Lullaby of the Trees:
This series of photographs was inspired and influenced by two of my favourite musicians at opposite ends of musical genres. They manage to both bring strong emotions to the listener. From these same emotions I try to capture what I feel the viewer might experience while standing in front of these trees. Max Richter . . . a German composer and pianist first brought these photographs together in my head. I would listen to …

What is Papergirl?

Papergirl: A Redefinition of Street Art Combining Art, Philanthropy & Bikes

Whether you remember it from your childhood or have simply seen it in the movies, there is a certain charm about the American paperboy delivering the daily news by bicycle. Vancouver, is about to experience that nostalgic charm once again-Papergirls is back!

The idea behind the Papergirls project is to bring art and the public together in an exciting and innovative way by taking it out of the galleries and into the streets. In the style of the American paperboy, artwork that h

CHALLENGE: The SkyTrain Project.
May 2012:
For the entire month of May

Today, a friend and I are riding the Sky Train (or whatever it’s called where you live) and getting off at every station. Using our big cameras and our smart phones (using whatever Apps. you like), maximum 5 photos at each station – using your ‘real camera’, smart phone or both – but only 5 maximum at each station. If you live somewhere that doesn’t have an underground, subway, tube, metro, etc, that’s okay . . . as long as you were on public transit and are standing at the stop or station while you take the photo. We’re doing it in one day . . . but you can take your time and do it throughout the month of May.
If you want to join the project and don’t have a real camera, just your smart phone is great. All photos can

Fred Herzog

I have been a BIG admirer of Fred Herzog for sometime now and had the opportunity to see his show in 2007 at the Vancouver art Gallery. Today, I had the opportunity to meet the man in person and have him sign a copy of my book. He frequents my shop and today one of his friends introduced him to me while they were there. They new I was a fan and told me that the next time he met them there, they would introduce me. So I have had my copy of one of his books waiting in the shop for this very day!

My photography also happened to be on the walls and he said he liked my work :-)

It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and have him sign my book.
