Treasured-

Eons in the past, a man dared to love another,
A woman possessing the grace such of a mother.
Though he couldn’t formulate a feeling with tongue,
To tell her that only she uplifted his breath in lung.
Though he had bold eyes that consumed her sight,
She had never caught them beaming through light.
And with his mind that would writhe with a will,
He secluded himself from her heart aching still.
She left him utterly confounded while dying,
As a blackened lovelorn soul forever crying.
Flesh changing to Earth, his body descends,
Down to mingle with worms, making amends.
Then he decays leaving but traces of carbon,
Which other particles morph with compaction.
He comes to form, from prismatic tears of lovers,
Purely aged and valued stony icicles of diamonds.
