Of the approximately 450 covered bridges built in the State of Oregon from 1850 to 1940, only 50 have survived. The Goodpasture Covered Bridge crosses the McKenzie River from Oregon Route 126 to Goodpasture County Road in Lane County, OR and is the second longest surviving covered bridge in the State of Oregon. The bridge is located just east of Vida, OR, about 25 miles east of Springfield, OR. The bridge which is 165 feet long, 17.7 feet wide and has a clearance of 15.3 feet, is probably the most photographed covered bridge in the State of Oregon. Goodpasture Covered Bridge is a Howe Truss Type wooden bridge, was built in 1938 for $13,154.00, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A good photographic subject in either color or B&W, I preferred the use of B&W for this particular photograph.
