The Rock that cannot be moved

In the eye of the storm –
When the turmoil sweeps over my soul,
Threatening to overwhelm me.
When the wind rages and beats against my depleting strength
Knocking me down –
Once,
Twice and
Down once again.
And tormentors torment me from within
I will be still Father – knowing You are God.
For You are my safe refuge.
You are the fortress.
You speak peace to my turbulent heart.
And in the end – when the storm stills,
I will rise to my feet
Proclaiming aloud –
The name of victory is Jesus –
The Rock that cannot be moved.

The Rock that cannot be moved

Artist's Description

I have learnt during times of hardship, when I can do nothing at all in the circumstance to alter the course – to be plain still in the hope that Jesus would reach down into my storm and be my shelter.

He has always seen me through.
