This page of yellowed paper started out as the support for an autumnal watercolour sketch I did outdoors in a local park. I didn’t think the top part of the sketch was that successful, so I used a wet tissue to partially remove the paint. I noticed the shirt folds in a publicity still of Presley were similar to the tree branches on the sketch, so I did the painting over it. A happy accident. The hair was finished with a biro.
