Babybride...

Babybride…

at times I peel my phrases
from the outer edge of silence
as it hovers yond the sighing winterwind…

I let them curl and whirl and whisper
o’er the ridges of oblivion, the rivers
and their bridges in the delta of today…

emotion shivers through the spirals
of my dilatory language
‘long the diphthongs and the assonance

aloft into the agile, dancing air…
my artless verses are the veils I wear
the white sails of my soul

that lift me higher in the whole
of time and space…
woman child, forever dressed

in light linguistic lace…
and I so love, so love your spirit
truly flying by my side…

my guardian angel that has once
between the brilliant stars of heaven
named me flower, little girl and babybride…

you have not died, you have not died…
I hear you voice, I see your face
I sense your beautiful intelligence

your neverending grace…
oh, I so love, so love your tenderness
begirding me with pure, eternal care…

I pray my warm, caressing poetry
to cherish you, to thank you
in the roseheart of our Holy Anywhere…
