DEPARTURE FROM VENUS

HE PICKED APART,
HER TORTURED HEART,
AND LED HER OFF,
THE BEATING PATH.
DISGRACED,
SHE OFTEN FELT ASHAMED,
TO HAVE DRUG HER SOUL,
THROUGH SO MUCH PAIN.
WHEN AT LAST,
SHE HEED THE TRUTH,
YEARS HAD PAST,
AND SO HER YOUTH.
TODAY SHE STANDS,
WITH DIGNITY AND GRACE.
AMIDST GLIMPSES OF TEARS,
EMBEDDED TO HER FACE.
REMNANTS SADLY TRACING BACK,
TO THE IGNORANCE,
OF HER YOUTH…
