Artist's Description

Just the other side of Snowdonia (Wales) lies a forgotten place – the Lleyn peninsula – a place of small fields, isolated hills and a long shoreline. On the Northern side lies the small settlement of Morfa Nefyn, and a network of footpaths leading to the coast. Typically these are hemmed in by mud and stone walls to shoulder height, but in places the shrubbery grows over to form long tunnels. I’ve painted one here, capturing the feel as Autumn set in, thinning the foliage and revealing berries for the birds.

Painted quickly and freely using oil on board 10×12 inches
