Richard Nicoll took up wildlife photography in 2010 after a visit to the Orkney Isles provided many photographic opportunities but very poor results. Trying to match the results of top wildlife photographers then became an ambitious target. Joining a local photographic club gave Richard the inspiration, help and advice to improve from those early attempts. Richard’s award winning work is regularly accepted into national and international exhibitions and has featured on the BBC’s Nature website pages as well as being published by the AAAS’s Science Journal, BBC, BTO, Cambridge News, Dorset Wildlife Trust, National Trust and RSPB.

Richard gained an Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society in September 2011 and a Nature Associateship in March 2012.

Richard is member of Cambridge Camera Club.
