“Vivo Principo – Glacies” can be loosely translated as “the origin of life in ice” (please excuse my abuse of Latin). I can’t claim that I thought of this idea myself, but in 2003, I created this series of images in ArtMatic in which ice, snowflakes, and microbes seem to play an equal visual part.
