The First Sonnet

Farewell lady from Dolomites today,
Now for your travels are long and afar,
over oceans leaping through and away,
living the life like a bright shining star.
May your future be filled with love and care,
Shining smile, gleaming as you journey,
When a friend leaves it just isn’t that fair,
From Australia, my mate ain’t seem too near.
I enjoyed our time drinking a few beers,
Before you go to the ladies big boot,
Where I can visit for many more years.
Not to worry though, I will keep in touch,
And you know what? I care for you that much.
