Visions on Tablets

Come with me will you?
On a journey to a land
Whence came three visions written
Upon tablets made of sand.

The first told of days long gone
When sea controlled the sky.
The moon bowed down to oceans
And never questioned why.

The second told of things to come,
Of yesterdays return.
The forest endured the fire
Which continued yet to burn.

The third, unlike the others,
Spoke only of the fawn,
Which lived upon the mountain
And retreated until the dawn.

This gentle figure could be seen
From any hilltop near.
Descending toward the drinking place
Where no human dared appear.

Treasured moment this became
The first I saw this sight.
Together with the visions read,
Amisdt sparrows in slow flight.

All combined into one world,
Along with visions three.
You will be much happier
If once you come with me. . .
