Artist's Description

Mystical Adventures a poem by RestLeSs D (Favorites: 37)
Be sure to listen to the great song below

There was a mighty warrior
Who also played harped lute.
Yet he hid this special talent
Because his chums would call him cute.

They made fun when he played
His tunes oh so lovely,
They quipped & joked & brayed,
Sounding like ignorant donkeys.

He worried that he might lose
His credible reputation
If he continued to enjoy
This form of recreation.

Little did he know that
There was one who delighted
In his sweet & tender side,
One whose interest he had ignited.

This one listened secretly
When he dared to strum a song.
One who knew he was very kind,
As well as brave and strong.

This one had set to planning
How she would work to win his heart.
She hoped for him to realize
In her beauty she was also smart.

. . . to be continued. . . .

What you take away from an experience will be what you carry with you for as long as it is allowed to affect you. Bullying & teasing may seem like a fun joke. Poking fun & name calling may seem innocent kid games. But is it really?
Think before you speak. . . a few words spit out in cruelty or malice may cause wounds; ones unseen to the eye yet leaving a scar very deep
