Treacherous Encounters a story poem by RestLeSsD

The waiting was the hardest,
Not knowing what may come.
The fear that this could be the end,
For all, not just for some.

Was it really worth all this?
Could this pain be justified?
For a love so forbidden
By those who had never tried.

For those who had not known
a love so deep and true
that it defied all sense and logic.
Was as sure as the sky was blue.

A love of her heart, soul, mind and being.
A love so deep, so embracing
Would this conflict truly be worth
All the anguish they could be facing?

She knew as surely as never before
The answer to this hesitation.
The encounter that was about to unfold
Was worth every bit of aggravation.

As treacherous encounters go,
This one would be most violent.
She was prepared to defend her love.
Her passion would not go silent.

This originated from a Redbubble assignment challenge: An image inspired by the music, Track 4 (called The Meadow) from a challenge at Challenge Cafe – inspired by music. Well, I could not resist this one as music is my main inspiration for my art.
The poem is inspired by the story Breaking Dawn, the last book in the Twilight series… yes, I am dweeb, I have read them & enjoyed them thoroughly along with the movies…
