Halloween

Halloween. The one night of the year when evil is given permit to run loose in the streets. Time for preparations is over. The day is here, and I’m ready for death to come knocking. They are hungry and they won’t be full until they visit every house in the world and feed upon the scraps of humanity. I wait, and I watch at my door, as the waves of haunted hell come rolling through. Waiting for them to come at me; waiting for them to come and take pieces from me. Now come the ghastly spirits to pry at my door. Here the knocks thunder through me as loud as their soulless words, “trick or treat.” I collapse. Oh god save me.
