Charing Cross station, London… “Network Southeast apologies to customers for the delays and cancellations tonight, this is due to an earlier incident at St Johns involving a fatality.”
Now this I just LOVE!!! Excellent Shot Rose, you’ve got to view it large to see all those expressions on their faces – just brilliant. How on earth did you manage to get beyond the barrier for this shot? The lighting is just perfect ….. and instant fav!!
Thanks Elaine :-) I went through the barrier early to avoid the crush before they announced the platform for my train which they said was 5 minutes away. I looked back and saw this shot (it was the reflections in the ceiling tht attracted me) and thought have I got time to get my camera out and snap this ? I’m glad I did !
Darn it Rose, this will not be bought by a chi-chi designer anxious to fill a client’s wall with something that matches the couch. No… instead you present a thoughtful image packed full with feelings and mystery. A work of art that could have everyone at a cocktail party distracted by its provocation. What do you think you are doing here by not producing an image that rigidly conforms to some ancient rule of thirds, or to a quick glance at color wheel. Darn it Rose, you are doing art instead of craft. Just think of the couches which will go lonely….
Ted: Very many thanks for your kind and flattering comments ! I like your sense of humour too LOL! I hope you don’t mind but I would like to use your comments in my Bubblesite ?
Great image. So very well captured. The mood is perfect and perspective wonderful. How many millions of people will have passed through these gates, and never bothered to look. Great moment.

This is a great shot!
The reflections on the ceiling recreate the sense of tube rush hour claustrophobia
Wonderful double take with the reflecton……. you seem to have found your station in life!
