Dating back 2000 years or more, the historic quayside by the River Exe in the city of Exeter (Devon, England) has seen many changes over the centuries.
Exeter’s wealth came from the woollen trade which peaked in the mid 18th century. Cloth woven in the area was loaded onto ships on the quay and transported all over the world.
Nowadays the quay offers relative peace and quiet, just 5 minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
