Many writers, including Keats, Tennyson and Charles Dickens lived or worked on the Isle of Wight, attracted by the climate or by the presence of other writers and artists.

Keats Green is an area of Shanklin, overlooking the beach and the English Channel, close to Shanklin Old Village. There is also a hotel with the same name.
