To The Manor ’Borne

Number of views as of 30th March 2016 = 500.

This is a shot of Cranborne Manor, Dorset, England taken looking through the gate at one end of ‘Church Walk’, which links the Manor with the grounds of the village church of St Mary & Bartholomew.

The Manor was originally one of King John’s hunting lodges, one of 22 such residences from the days when Cranborne Chase was a vast royal hunting estate.

The Manor itself is not open to the public but the gardens can be visited on Wednesdays between March and September and are accessed via the Cranborne Manor Garden Centre.

Date: 19th April 2009.
