Brecon Beacons, Pen-y-Fan and Corn Du

Number of views as of 5th September 2016 = 330.

The twin peaks of Pen-y-Fan (left) and Corn Du (right) in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales, UK.

At 886 metres (2907 feet), Pen-y-Fan is actually only the 20th highest mountain in Wales, but is the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, in South Wales and in southern Britain.

Pen-y-Fan is also one of the most climbed mountains in Wales due to its location and relative ease of access. The main route up from the Storey Arms on the A470 is known to regulars as ‘The Motorway’.

Corn Du is slightly smaller, topping out at 873 metres (2864 feet).
