Bressingham Gardens (just west of the town of Diss, Norfolk, England) were established by Alan Bloom MBE, an internationally recognized plant expert specializing in hardy perennials.
He purchased the 220 acre site in 1946 and developed it into a nursery, garden centre, landscaped gardens and a steam museum.
Bressingham Hall (pictured), a Georgian mansion overlooking the gardens was built in the 1760s and became the Bloom family home.
