Artist's Description

This Photograph was taken in MacMillan Provincial Park. Much of the land here was donated by well Known British Columbia Forester H.R. MacMillan, in 1944, to form this park around the “Cathedral Grove” of Giant Douglas-fir trees.
This is a special place as it provides easy access to one of only a hand full of Old Growth Tree stands left in the province of British Columbia. It’s very beautiful here, untouched, and unspoiled.
Photograph taken on the morning of Sept. 14/2009 in the park which is situated about 40 Km inland, from Parksville, Vancouver island, on highway 4 west to Port Albereni and Tofino. Best viewed Larger size.
