Artist's Description

This capture was taken from the pier at Bertram Creek Park, looking southwest down Okanagan Lake. The Firestorm in 2003 came right down to the Waters edge here, so there are not many trees left and most of what is standing is burnt and dead. Still there is the odd pine tree that escaped the flames and The Park is still a very beautiful place to spend time on a sunny day. The water here drops off very quickly and is close to 600 feet deep out about 100 yards from the shore.
