To the Love of My Life

No words can express
My undying love
Knowing you were sent to me
From the heavens above
You filled my life with happiness
Made me safe and secure
You gave me your heart
So beautiful, so pure
I thought you’d live forever
You were my hero, my king
You made me feel so special
When you did those crazy little things
I pledged to stand beside you
Through good times and bad
And cherish the time together
That no other couple had
The light of my life
And the apple of my eye
Has been given his wings
And told to fly
I cried, I cursed
And I refused to understand
I blamed God in Heaven
For taking my wonderful man
I feel so empty
So alone, so scared
I feel God has truly given me
More than I can bear
Then I remembered those words
You told me, not long ago
Honey, you are strong and I love you
You’ll be fine when I go
You told me you were tired
And I failed to see
My baby was dying inside
And wanted to be free
I will always love you Randy
And keep you dear to my heart
You are my one and only love
My shining star
Please wait for me in heaven
For one day my love
I’ll earn my wings too
We’ll be free as doves

I will always love you Randy,
Your loving wife, Becky
