Let’s meet in the old hotel way out west.
We’ll take a room near the top of the twilight city.
You’ll know me.
I’ll be the one with the scarlet lipstick,
painted thick and wet to tattoo your body
with the imprint of my lips.
And when it’s time I’ll throw off all my clothes
and turn myself over to your will, your skill,
We won’t have to speak, what we do will say it for us.
And when dawn’s sly fingers reach in
and pull aside night’s curtain I’ll vanish
like starlight slain by day.
