Artist's Description

Healthcare of today and yesterday. This painting portrays and contrasts Obama care and the health care of Lincoln’s day. During Lincoln’s reign, for example, a person was amputated with more crude interments than today and whiskey was the anesthesia. Now health care is expensive, yet more antiseptic. We see Obama straining money with a hypodermic needle from a gold pot as Michelle looks on. This is a continuation of the sock monkey them particular to much of my work where I usually portray masterpiece paintings and subject matter.
