Faces

I wonder,
Do you see the degrees of shock and distaste on my face everytime you peel off another mask?
Do you understand my bitterness when you unveil yet another persona.
Do you comprehend the disgust when one of your glass expressions crack?

Of course not.

Comfertablity breeds discovery.
And i have discoverd the innumerable faces that you wear.

I have walked blindly to a noose.
A noose i tied and hung.
I have slipped the rope round my neck like a scarf.

I teeter on my tip toes clumsily.

What a predicament i’m in.
So close to tumbling into the suffocating parallel…
Where the confusion and disappointment torment daily,
Hourly.

They look like the painted smiles you wore.
They whisper in my ear like you once did.
They caress my weaknesses like you have oh so well.
They torture sweetly like you.
In a way that you are oblivious to the pain until it has ripped you apart.
And you are bloody
And cut
And gored.

All because of your face.
Or rather… faces.

Are you satisfied?
