Artist's Description

Each millenia passes for her with the speed of a mortal year. Her power so great now that her she no longer thirsts. Immortalised in stone: her skin alabaster and she waits, under the watchful eyes of the Guardians, for the one who will unleash her force on the world once more.

Although the wording above is my own, I have to give credit for my inspiration on this piece to Anne Rice’s _Queen of the Damned._

Photograph taken of lifesize statue lying beside the that of her husband on a tomb in the 13th Century Church of St Mary in Acton Burnell, Shropshire, England.
