Artist's Description

The only way to Nzulezu, the floating city in western Ghana is by canoe through this grassy and still lake. Isn’t it beautiful?

I took this photo in July 2011. The village is completely constructed over a lake using stilts – the early villagers purposely designed their community that way in order to keep hidden from their persecutors. It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A poster or print will serve as a window to an African summer that never ends.
