By way of description and prompted by Cayannagirl, the symbols in the centre of the star are "ba-yi" and can be explained thus: the first character is “8”. This equates to August. The second one is "1" (seen if you look at the image sideways).
This refers to the first of August, the date of the Nanchung uprising of 1927 which was the first big battle of the Chinese Civil War.

This shirt is comfortable, yet fashionable! It is made of soft cotton, but did not shrink when washed! I highly recommend it!
