Artist's Description

While most violets have heart-shaped leaves, the bird’s foot violet has thrice-divided leaves which somewhat resemble a bird’s foot. The flowers of the bird’s foot violet are held high above the leaves and sometimes as many as 30 flowers are produced in one season.
HABITAT-Dry, rocky woods.
