The Kurilpa Bridge is a AUD$63.3 million pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Brisbane River. The bridge connects Kurilpa Point in South Brisbane to Tank Street in the Brisbane Central Business District. Kurilpa Bridge is the world’s largest tensegrity bridge.
Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh said the bridge would be lit in red, a one-off for the weekend only as a tribute to the opening of the exhibition in Brisbane of the Valentino, Retrospective: Past/Present/Future exhibition. Red is the signature colour of Valentino.
