Artist's Description

It’s a dog’s life. My little Alice was a street dog in Taipei, Taiwan for her first five years. Based on her health conditions and scars, she was abused, neglected, starved, cut and beaten. I adopted her in Washington State and promised her she would have a great life from then on. I had her for 8 years and I hope I managed to make her happier than she ever dreamed. I think setting her in all the fur—that matches her—indicates the cushy life I tried to give her. She was no stuck-up princess—just a happy little dog with an endless capacity for forgiveness and an amazing spirit.
