Here we see the protagonist, Kaija Mathews, a hermit who’s lived in the desert for 15 years, drinking water from a magic spring and meditating. Now she has the power to speak to animals, and must leave her anti-social ways behind to fight a voracious monster bringing terror to the desert. Get it before it’s cool
