Poem "Lonely All Alone" by Roby Tibbs

Lonely, All Alone

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
It makes me kind of sad,
And really kind of blue.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
I try to go out about town,
But there’s really nothing to do.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To be this wrapped up in myself,
To know my thoughts through and through.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To wish to be with just anyone,
To think even M would do.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To believe I’m happy single,
Is a delusion I cling to.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To give “us” another chance,
I must be crazy to do.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
I stay in my little rut,
I’ll never meet anyone new.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
Oh to be kitten stroked,
I’d give out a contented mew

.Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To find my one love’s love,
That would last all the days through.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
A true fresh love for me,
That never fails, is always new.

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
To not eat a gun,
What am I going to do?

Lonely, all alone,
Despondent even too,
I sound like a broken record,
Shoot me; Is what you should do.

Lonely, all alone,
I can’t stop now, I can’t,
Stop me by your own hand now,
Or I won’t stop, I can’t, I shan’t.
