The Candy Colored Chronicles; Part One: Candy Colored Wings

I ride the waves of a crystal ocean,
That touches the pink mouth of my horizon,
One that watches but never sees,
One that speaks without saying a word.

I am entranced and taken over,
With no one left to direct my body,
It is an empty shell of regret,
That I must leave behind.

The jewels dripped from your mouth,
Like honey falling from the sky,
You taste of everything I failed to understand,
All it’s comprehension beyond my reach.

“Hello my prince, have you found the light?”
“Oh yes, my dear,” he replied,
Pressing down on my eyelids ever so softly,
Until I felt myself come alive.

In a bed of satin thorns I lay,
Eager to protest dawn from rising,
Whispering dreams in your ear of unheard stories,
Girls with hearts made of gold flakes.

One breath, four eyes,
Soaring high above dancing fields,
A Quiet Prince holding the hand,
Of a Fairy with candy colored wings.

Artist's Description

Inspired by drugs, by love, by movies, books and fairy tales.
I think I’ve been trying to write something with poetic beauty for awhile and have only now been able to truly capture it.
I thank Candy for that.
This is part one of the Candy Colored Chronicles.
Detailing the separate journeys of the Fairy and the Quiet Prince.
For me, these series are very personal and they refer to a part of my life that I absolutely loved.
