This beautiful sprig of apple buds and a new blossom on Saturday, May 2nd, after a morning rain shower. This appearance marks an annual celebration in the apple growing states. The beautiful blooms usually appear around the first of May in our area. They are all gone within a week or so.
This photo is for my kind neighbor, who’s tree provided the subject.
This photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/750th sec at f/5.6. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release.
