I recently read a comment that said that something like, I can’t walk 50 feet without finding something to photograph. How true. Looking at the stuff that is so close to oneself, in this case my own backyard, there is so much to photograph that I overlook simply because it is so close. This ground cover is an example. It blooms in my yard in Gilberts, Illinois every spring yet in the past ten years this is the first time I photographed it.
I processed the raw file with Photomatix Pro 5 and then added some detail using Detail 3 by Topaz Labs to produce this hdr image
