For some reason this was the most difficult painting that I have had to digitize yet. I photographed it, scanned it, and tweaked it to death. In the end, I finally scanned it, and color-corrected select areas to get it as close as I could but for some reason the purplish colors were very difficult to get to be a 100% match to the original painting. Even now, they are only close. It is tough because the original painting really changes depending upon the light that it is viewed under due to the type of watercolor paint that was used. The original piece is 9.75″ × 13.75″ in size and is painted entirely with Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# paper.
