Artist's Description

It is amazing that these keys came into my possession but here they are. Can they open the gates to the highly secret military facility nicknamed “Area 51?” Perhaps they open the doors that reveal the secrets of the crashed alien craft recovered at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. Only time will tell. But seriously, the piece is painted with Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper. The background is Daniel Smith’s Sedona Red from their Primatek series. The interaction of the paint and paper create interesting textural blends that add depth and interest to the piece.
