Artist's Description

Number 8 in my series of PaleoArt Paintings.

Alioramus is a small Tyrannosaurid discovered in Mongolia. Its exact size is unknown as only juvenile specimens have been found. It is characterized by a bony crest along its snout and by having more teeth than any of its relatives.

Like most therapods, Alioramus was most likely covered in a fur-like feathered coat. Though proto-feather colors have only been deduced in one species, it is fun to speculate on the wide range of colors and patterns that non-avian dinosaurs may have had.
