that fall was the craziest thing really
straight up and over right on to ground
same way it went up and over the point of reason
just cause it don’t make sense
doesn’t mean it don’t make sense
and they don’t get that depth

they didn’t hear your breath
know your aroma
they didn’t blink the tears
they didn’t make the mistakes we did

we put our faces to the wind
we struck hard and fast
prideful in their showing
screaming in different directions
spitting the same complexity

that column built of the lust
and the creation of beauty
and the concept of rage
and the love of the hearts
even in the absence of innocence
we both knew we were wrong

we both knew where we were going
we both knew we were right
and we were
and we still are

shame is…

we still are….

lacking form….

ignoring the reasons….

forgetting that I spit fire on that mountain
and you split your heart in two, twice
all cause we dropped the seeds

guess we forgot how to stop them
before they grew
before we grew
before I knew

somehow its still all the same
it’s still rolling with hills near Amish country
rose colored glasses
unsophisticated and full of that belly laughter
that smirk that smile that hatred that desire
what kept life blowing in driven circles
what kept blowing smoke in our senses
what hardened the heart

the surprise is that strength is still there
the unexpected result is the lack of fear

the final answer is as subtle as it ever was
even if more pure now extracted
more real, even in it’s misty reality
and factual basis
it’s just me dreaming too slow
it’s just me bleeding into the future

its just me loving
