The day was ending in a swan song of color at Bandon Beach on the southern Oregon Coast, U. S. A. This picture does not capture the calls of the birds, the smell of the ocean or the sounds of the restless waves, all of which contributed to the magic of this place.
In order to capture the color on the wet sand, it was necessary to position the camera as close to the ground as possible. The window of opportunity for this picture was short:because the sky didn’t stay red very long. The gull didn’t stay long, either.
