I was extremely late getting into the city yesterday and then had the joyful experience of driving around for 40 minutes trying to find a park – wasnt game enough to take a train since very few trains actually work in Melbourne now days…

Anyway with my limited timeframe of 1 hour (i really cannot afford parking tickets at the moment) here are a few shots from chinatown

Oromia Festival

I was in Fed Square killing time before meeting with some friends at Transport and what do ya know there was a festival!!

See this link for more information about Oromia.

It was a great atmosphere and I couldnt believe that the lovely Oromian ladies were walking around giving out free tea, coffee and breads – very very nice the tea by the way.

Anyway here’s a few offerings from this afternoon

Polish Festival

Went to the Polish festival at Fed Square today with my parents who are visiting from NZ. I got to try some Potato Pancakes (yummo) and some ravioli type things (even more yummo) – DID NOT partake of the beer garden, that would have been very interesting to say the least!

Saw some of the people from the Art Exhibition on Thursday night as well!

So here are some of my shots from today
